GUTS! were made by Mattel in 1986, the 60 figures came available as Jungle Fighters, Green Berets, Ground Troops, Underwater Demolition Experts, Laser Fighters, a Laser-equipped infantry, and Ninjas, the Aikido Force. The Green Berets, Ground Troops, and Jungle Fighters were military soldiers with guns. The jungle fighters came shirtless.
Each package included from 2-10 soldiers in 2-packs, 5-packs, and 10 packs, and each trooper came named, such as Hot Launch, Otto Mattic and Slugs McGee. The Green Berets also had a German Shepherd like dog. They also had vehicles to complete the action battle field.
